Southampton social anxiety support

Are you looking for a supportive community to help you navigate social anxiety?

WalkTheTalk is launching in Southampton to provide a safe and understanding space for individuals living in/around Southampton dealing with social anxiety.

This will start as an online event and will transition into in-person meetings.

It’s our first ‘local’ event having run a national online weekly drop-in session for the past two years. We’ve had hundreds of attendees and have distilled a process that people find useful to help overcome social anxiety.

In the first meeting, we’ll introduce ourselves and I’ll take you through the process. We aim to meet at least once per month after that.

What to expect:

  • Regular safe drop-in sessions: Surrounded by peers who get how you’re feeling, motivate you and keep you accountable, celebrate your wins and challenge you in a safe space.
  • We follow a process that we’ve proven in a larger group: We follow a process that has proven effective in our larger group and remain open to adapting it to meet the needs of our local community. Hundreds of people have attended our larger group.
  • Online and offline sessions: We offer online sessions initially, with the potential to transition to in-person meetups if there is enough demand.
  • Small, safe group setting: Our sessions are limited to 10 people to ensure a comfortable and intimate environment.
  • Social activities: We plan to organise socials and self-organise activities to help build connections and practice social skills.
  • Community-run, free and no catch: This is a community project run by peers. There’s no pitch, no ‘sell’ and no obligation.

Register your interest to join us and be part of a community that understands and supports you on your journey towards overcoming social anxiety.

I’m Tom, the founder of the group, and I’m happy to answer any questions you may have about our group and what to expect.

Note: Please message me for more information. Adults 18+ only.
