We help you overcome social anxiety.
We do it by providing a proven process, amplified by the support of a group.
Groups are at the heart of our approach. They give you the wisdom to understand your anxiety and the confidence to try new things, rewiring your habits for good.
The key to overcoming social anxiety is to drop your safety behaviours and focus outwardly. It’s not easy, but it’s possible. That’s why we provide easy-to-follow guides and templates and the support of a group to give you the confidence to do it.
You can try new things outside or even inside the group to start with. It’s a safe environment where you can experiment and grow.
You’re not alone in this. There are people who understand what you’re going through and want to help. Find your WalkTheTalk group and start building a community of support.
Before your first session, have a quick read of the basics of overcoming social anxiety and follow the exercise to try your first challenge: showing up to your first session.
When you arrive at your first session, listen in and introduce yourself if you feel up to it. There is no pressure to talk, but you may find that it is helpful to vocalise your feelings in a safe environment. We’ve all been where you are.
We’ll send you our easy-to-follow process guide. You’ll start by building your map – a powerful tool for understanding and overcoming social anxiety. This is the foundation of the process.
Plan social situations that you want to challenge yourself in and use unplanned opportunities to your advantage. Every time you step outside of your comfort zone, you’re getting closer to overcoming your social anxiety. We’ll give you aids such as a templates that emphasise forming healthier habits, daily challenges to build confidence and ideas for challenges.
Your group is your biggest cheerleader. They’ll celebrate your successes and help you through the tough times. Keep attending sessions to stay motivated and accountable on your journey to overcoming social anxiety.
Become a facilitator or help a new member with their experiments and challenges. Volunteers are what keeps WalkTheTalk free for future friends.
