You’re not alone in this. There are people who understand what you’re going through and want to help. Find your WalkTheTalk group and start building a community of support.

Attend your first session (in-person or online)

When you arrive at your first session, listen in and introduce yourself if you feel up to it. There is no pressure to talk, but you may find that it is helpful to vocalise your feelings in a safe environment. We’ve all been where you are.

2. Challenge yourself

Start to follow our member guide

We’ll send you our easy-to-follow process guide. You’ll start by building your map – a powerful tool for understanding and overcoming social anxiety. This is the foundation of the process.

Try your first experiment and see what happens

You’ll learn the basic theory to overcome social anxiety. As soon as possible, you’ll experience it for yourself with a little experiment. You’ll discover what happens when you drop avoidant behaviours and focus outwards. Your group can be a safe place to practice this.

3. Keep going!

Keep going! This is the ‘process’

Plan social situations that you want to challenge yourself in and use unplanned opportunities to your advantage. Every time you step outside of your comfort zone, you’re getting closer to overcoming your social anxiety. We’ll give you aids such as a templates that emphasise forming healthier habits, daily challenges to build confidence and ideas for challenges.

Attend sessions to stay motivated and accountable
